Ella’s ninth year

  • Went to @morganswonderlandtexasin San Antonio for 8th birthday. Such a great place for Ella.

  • Having the best babysitter in @shelbyroo so Joe snd I can continue to date and travel.

  • Still driving the #sprintervanconversion ...it’s SO big!! Finding joy in the hard and different.

  • Watching William act like a big brother, even if he’s younger. He takes good care of Ella.

  • Handicapped seating and parking isn’t always better.

  • Ella goes to the zoo with @chases_place and @greysand and it was such a gift.

  • Having a pool at your house is great, and a lot of work with a kid who has zero core strength.

  • Still #spoonfeeding Ella food that we grind up every day.

  • #Plexus feeds a part that is so lost in caring for Ella. #specialneedsmom

  • Looking for new attendants is always so hard, but God is always good in the timing and who He has for us in each season.

  • Ella’s pure joy is contagious.

  • ER fun after a peanut butter brownie...all good. (Oh, have I mentioned a #peanutallergy ?!)

  • @heroes_camp_ is a gift every time their doors are open, and I think we were there every available minute that summer...ALL 3 KIDS!! Sweetest friends at VBS and @fbdkidscovewho love all my children well.

  • Getting to do girls lunches and Plexus events WITH Ella by my side.

  • #wheelchairdancing in the kitchen

  • Learning to sit in chairs and on the couch so that we don’t have to always be in the wheelchair.

  • Figuring out how life looks with a different twist on pictures, first day of school and all the special days.

  • Weening off meds.

  • Hit all the top ranks in my business over these months.

  • Tests clear, no seizures.

  • Good season of just doing #thenextrightthing.

It’s not about anything being normal or perfect, but I get to choose my attitude, and I choose hope, joy and gratitude.
